Gift Card Program
Many popular retailers, including Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Wawa, and Amazon, agree to sell gift cards to the PTO at a discount. Miller Heights families can then buy the cards for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. These gift cards are perfect for the holidays, special occasions, or everyday shopping.
You can earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny—just spend your regular shopping dollars on gift cards for the stores you normally shop at!
Click here for a printable order form with a complete list of retailers. Complete the form and return to school with your child, along with this release form to designate your delivery option. Gift card orders can be picked up in the main office during school hours, or they can be sent home in a sealed envelope with your child.
Please share this info with your friends and family, and let them know of this great opportunity to support Miller Heights! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the program chair, Angela Vennemann, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Giant A+ School Rewards
Welcome to the start of a new school year and another year of A+ School Rewards from GIANT FOOD STORES. Customer registration begins August 3, 2018, and Miller Heights will continue to earn money through this program from those who are registered with purchases made from September 7, 2018 through March 16, 2019. Last year, we raised $1,500 through A+ School Rewards! This will NOT affect your personal Bonuscard rewards or gas points.
To register your card online, visit giantfoodstores.com/school-rewards and follow the instructions listed under "Get Started." Be sure to designate Miller Heights as one of the two schools you are supporting through the A+ School Rewards program.
Please note, if you have participated in this program previously, you do not need to re-register!
Use the school's phone number and ZIP code: 610-868-6441 and 18020.
Contact name is Janelle Lewis.
Printer Cartridge Recycling
Help us be green, earn green, and save some green by recycling your used or unwanted ink jet and laser cartridges. Miller Heights receives cash back for each item, which helps cover various costs throughout the year. Simply send in your ink cartridges with your child, or drop them off in the bin outside the library doors. And once you're out of ink, stop by Staples to pick up more!
Boxtops for Education
Clip and save boxtops from General Mills products. Each boxtop is worth 10 cents to our school! Last year, we received $1,400 with the Boxtops for Education program, and we're hoping to raise even more this year. Spread the word and ask your family, friends, and neighbors to clip the boxtops too. Please include your child's name and teacher on the bag or envelope when you send the boxtops into school (or use this collection sheet) so their class gets credit.
It has been brought to our attention that there are some companies who, in order to promote community service, offer cash donations to organizations receiving volunteer hours from employees and sometimes their dependents. Do you or your spouse work for such a company? If so, please email email@example.com with "Corporate Donations" in the subject line. It's a great way to be involved in your child's school and earn money to be used towards field trips and supplemental classroom equipment.
